The Blended Bakery Gives Back
I was a single mom for five years before DJ and I got married, and I understand the dread that can accompany the beginning of school when you start looking at the long list of school supplies that the teachers are asking you to bring. You’ve just shelled out a good chunk of change for summer camps, and now you have back to school expenses. We have been blessed to be able to provide school supplies for our own children, but this year, we want to give back to our community by donating additional supplies to Carolina Springs Elementary School for children in need. Would you consider helping us gather school supplies? There are a couple of ways you can help children AND save money.
The first way is by placing an order during the month of August. This month, we are offering $5 off any order of $15 or more with a donation of school supplies. Because we can’t give you the discount until the supplies have been received, we will need to email you an invoice versus ordering from the online store. The discount will be applied at the time of delivery or pickup. Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
If you’ve been following us on our Facebook page, you know that we’ve been participating in Our Village Project events for the last month or so. We are excited to be part of this community market. If you haven’t been, come check it out. It’s in downtown Lexington on Saturdays from 9:00 – 1:00-ish (I expect it will go later as it starts to cool off) in the town square. There are local produce vendors, baked goods, bird/bat houses, custom aprons/smocks, hand-crafted items, and much more. Check out the Our Village Project Facebook page to see which vendors are lined up each week.
The second way to be rewarded this month is to bring school supplies to our table at Our Village Project. We will give you a FREE beverage of your choice (including our popular iced coffee). No additional purchase necessary (but I’m not sure you will be able to pass up our cinnabacon rolls made with bacon from Roy’s Grille)! We are currently planning to be there on August 13th and August 20th. Be sure to check out our Facebook page to make sure we will be in attendance and bring those school supplies!
