• Blended Families Are Messy

I’m sure that you get this question multiple times a day: “How are you?” It’s often preceded by “Good morning,” or “Hello!” I know I say that to most of my coworkers when I pass them in the hallway. More often than not, you probably receive back a standard response of “Good morning; how are you?” Note: your question was answered with…a question. • Love, Anyway

On today, our 2nd anniversary, I think it’s appropriate to talk about all the reasons why I love my husband.  I love DJ because he loves me anyway. Wait, what?!?! The kids don’t usually use the distinction of “half” or “step” unless they’re trying to explain to someone how their family fits together. They just know we are all family in some way, shape or form,…

  • The Perfect Blend…is Not So Perfect

Wait….what?? Then what is this all about? The Perfect Blend was the theme from our wedding. It is what we are striving for, but we are not there…yet. We believe God has given us a vision for our family, and while we make plenty of mistakes that cause us to ask for forgiveness, we are doing our best to glorify God. We hope and pray that this site and this blog reflect our hearts and the passion that we have for strong families and strong marriages. Living Life Blended Is and Is Not… This blog is NOT a place to vent, create drama, or bash ex spouses (or anyone else…
